Of course, the Sixers have been short-handed. That will continue against the Pelicans.

Tyrese Maxey (concussion), Joel Embiid (left knee meniscus procedure), De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine bone stress), and Robert Covington (left knee bone bruise) are all listed as out.

This will be the third consecutive game Maxey will miss. Coach Nick Nurse mentioned on Wednesday that he still needs to pass the league’s concussion protocol before he can return to the floor.

With Maxey out, the Sixers will need Tobias Harris and others to step up and produce without his scoring. Kyle Lowry, who missed Wednesday’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies to rest, is not listed on the injury report so it will help to have him back on the floor for organization of the offense.Sixers-Nets news: Joel Embiid to miss Game 4; James Harden no suspension after ejection
