There had been some concern that Jones’ time with the Chiefs was coming to an end despite him being a key part of their defence, but those worries have been nipped in the bud with a new deal.

The news has been welcomed by quarterback Mahomes, who has been the biggest star in the NFL recently.

Jones tweeted two pen and paper emojis after the news was confirmed, and Mahomes quoted it with a big smiling face.

Jones was a very important part of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win in 2024 against the San Francisco 49ers and he has been rewarded with a 95 million dollar contract.

Jones is set to receive around 35 million dollars per season now and he will have to repay that faith by maintaining his level in the new season.
