As of now, Las Vegas has eight picks — a first-round pick, a second-round, a third-round, a fourth-round, a fifth-round, a sixth-round, and two seven-round picks. While that initially seems like a lot, Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce is feeling a little greedy when looking at all the talent the 2024 draft will possess.
“I mean, it’ll be interesting, to be honest, you wish you had more picks [laughter],” Pierce said at the NFL Combine on Feb. 28. ” You’re like: ‘Damn.'”
“But at the end of the day, you got to be smart, and [Tom] Telesco understands that, and he knows I am like: ‘Come on, can we get four more picks?’
“But that’s also what’s good about free agency. That comes first. So, we’ll be able to plug some of those holes, but there’s a very talented group.

“The guys, the gentlemen that we’ve interviewed, have done an outstanding job in that process of really speaking, telling us who they are, what they know. These guys are being coached up well, now. I’ll tell you that’s the biggest difference.
“Goddamn, they know everything that’s about to be asked. Like, they’re sitting in our room and got all our questions, so that’s cool. But I think the best part about it is just seeing these guys that’s eager that want to come out and really want to put on a show here at the Combine.
“And more importantly, we got some guys that said: ‘Man, I want to be a Raider.’ And that’s — I like hearing that walking through the hall. I hear more ‘Raider’ chants than any other team.”
The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
