The World Open has hit its stride with the quarter-finals on the horizon in Yushan, China.
Ronnie O’Sullivan is out of the competition after being defeated in a final-frame decider by Hossein Vafaei.
Judd Trump secured a passage through to the final eight, while Mark Selby, Ding Junhui and Shaun Murphy are among those set to duel to advance this afternoon.
Trump is the reigning champion of the last edition of the tournament, held in 2019.
The COVID pandemic, and subsequent restrictions, have prevented the tournament from being green lit since then.
