Alabama football sophomore receiver Jalen Hale suffered a knee injury during spring practice on Tuesday and is out for at least the rest of the spring.
Before the injury, Hale had been competing for playing time under first-year coach Kalen DeBoer. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound receiver from Longview, Texas had five catches for 148 yards and a touchdown last season for the Crimson Tide. He is third on the team in returning receiving production, behind only Kobe Prentice and CJ Dippre.

It was not known at the time of the injury whether Hale would be able to return sometime ahead of or during the 2024 season. However, the receiver has provided updates expressing gratitude and positivity since he was injured.
