One of the New England Patriots’ top draft targets is choosing not to participate in his Pro Day, instead opting for his tape to do the talking.
According to SI’s Albert Breer, Ohio State star receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has elected to not work out at the Buckeyes’ Pro Day on Wednesday. Breer adds that Harrison asked the nine teams he met with at the NFL Scouting Combine, which he also declined to participate in, if they needed to see anything at his Pro Day, to which they all answered “no.”

In lieu of his Pro Day, Harrison will continue independently training for the upcoming NFL season in Columbus.
Given what he accomplished throughout his college career, Harrison has essentially nothing left to prove. In his three seasons with the Buckeyes, he caught 150 passes for 2,495 yards and 31 touchdowns. He was also a two-time unanimous All-American and won the Fred Biletnikoff award as the country’s best receiver last season.

There’s also the fact that he’s the son of Hall of Fame receiver Marvin Harrison Sr., so even if he didn’t put up those gaudy stats in college, he still would’ve had a ton of teams interested in him based on lineage alone.
