Heartbreak: The Red Bull F1 Racing greatest driver of all time has terminated his contract to sign a new contract.

Heartbreak: In order to negotiate a new contract, the greatest driver in Red Bull F1 racing history has terminated his current one.

The use of a racial epithet during a live feed prompted Oracle Red Bull Racing to terminate the contract of junior driver Juri Vips, the company said on Tuesday.

Oracle Red Bull Racing has ended Juri Vips’ contract as its test and reserve driver after conducting an inquiry into an internet incident involving him, the company announced in a statement. No kind of racism is acceptable to the team.

Vips was suspended one week ago while a thorough inquiry was conducted. He did apologise for his actions in an Instagram post. At the time, the team stated, in part, “As an organization, we condemn abuse of any kind and have a zero-tolerance policy toward racist language or behaviors within our organization.”

The 21-year-old was live broadcasting Call of Duty: Warzone on Twitch with Liam Lawson, another Red Bull junior driver. The Washington Post reports that Vips uttered the n-word and cursed during the live transmission.

In an apologetic letter issued last week, the Formula Two driver for the British-based Hitech Grand Prix team said, “This language is absolutely unacceptable and does not embody the values and ideals that I believe. This is not the example I want to set, and I sincerely regret my actions.

Red Bull made their declaration on the same day that Formula One, the FIA, and Mercedes denounced Nelson Piquet for using a racial epithet to describe Lewis Hamilton in a podcast interview from November 2021.
