Surprising news: The Indianapolis Colts trade the most talented player to another weak football team ever.

Remarkably, the most gifted player in Indianapolis Colts history is traded to another mediocre football team.

I recently got to represent the Indianapolis Colts in a Walk the Mock-hosted 32-team social media mock draft.

This simulated NFL draft included the first two rounds and gave each team the opportunity to bargain with one another to make trades.

Though I hadn’t intended to trade back going into the experience, I ultimately chose to run this mock draft as closely to GM Chris Ballard’s as possible. And Ballard and his team would have jumped on the value I was able to get in two separate trades.

The selections I made throughout the two-round mock draft and the trades I made along the way are listed here.

The Cardinals send the Colts picks 27 and 35, a second-rounder
Fans’ preferred choices for the Colts with pick 15 included Toledo CB Quinyon Mitchell and LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr. One of those two would have been my option if I had stayed put, but the Arizona Cardinals’ offer sounded like a good one Ballard, and the Colts couldn’t refuse given the caliber of this year’s class. To that end, I moved down 12 choices in the first round and acquired the third pick in the second.
