Heartbreak: Indianapolis Colts greatest player of all time has terminated his contract to sign a new contract.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network first revealed on Monday that tight end Mo Alie-Cox and the Indianapolis Colts had reached an agreement on a three-year contract for up to $18 million.
Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star stated that the deal is worth up to $18 million, despite Pelissero’s claim that it is for $18 million spread over three years. The contract’s structure has not yet been made public.
After Doyle retired, it became fairly necessary for the Colts to re-sign Alie-Cox. This summer, both parties expressed interest in finalizing a contract.
This is the first big transaction the Colts have made since the legal tampering period started on Monday at noon. The Colts have the most salary-cap space in the NFL going into free agency.
Despite the fact that the contracts of the Cowboys’ three top players are almost up, they have remained relatively quiet this offseason. Prescott’s deal with the team expires after the following campaign, and this autumn, Lamb will exercise his fifth-year option. Prior to becoming qualified for the franchise tag, Parsons had two years remaining on his contract.
Prescott claimed that despite some being more urgent than others, he hasn’t made much headway in his contract talks. However, Jones maintains that he is working on these agreements nonstop in a way that only he could.
