Breaking news: John Can’t Schip sadly disclosed the death of his best player, sending fans into a heart attack

After falling during a training match in Austria, Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Abdelhak Nouri was declared “out of life-threatening danger” but remained in intensive care, according to the Dutch Eredivisie club.
“Latest update on Nouri: he is in intensive care and kept asleep, but he is out of danger,” Ajax said late on Saturday night to their official Twitter.

Nouri, 20, unexpectedly passed out during an Ajax vs. Werder Bremen game in the Austrian town of Zillertal, close to Innsbruck.

The teenage athlete was revived by paramedics and then transported by helicopter to an Innsbruck hospital.

The final game of Ajax’s training camp, which was canceled, was coached by new coach Marcel Keizer.

In a Dutch Cup game against Willem II in September of last year, Nouri scored his first goal for Ajax.

In addition, he received the Jupiler Player of the Season 2016–17 award for his efforts with the Jong Ajax, popularly known as the “Young Ajax,” second-tier squad.

Former midfielder Abdelhak Nouri’s contract with Ajax Amsterdam has been canceled. In July 2017, Nouri suffered a cardiac arrhythmia event during a preseason friendly versus Werder Bremen, which resulted in severe and lifelong brain damage.

After collapsing on the field, the 22-year-old was sent to the hospital where medical professionals placed him in a medically-induced coma.

Nouri awoke from his coma in August 2018 and is currently at home interacting with his family.
