Within the next three weeks, Massimiliano Allegri says he will finalize the two biggest and most expensive contracts he has ever signed.
Juventus has announced that Massimiliano Allegri has agreed to a new deal that would keep him with the Serie A team through 2024.
This season, Allegri led Juventus to the Champions League final and helped them win the Serie A and Coppa Italia championships. He has a 69% winning percentage and has won the domestic double every season since taking over at Juventus Stadium in 2014.
The former midfield player will stay in Turin until the conclusion of the 2019–20 season, despite being linked to a move to Arsenal prior to Arsene Wenger agreeing to a new two-year contract.
Juventus released the following statement: “Juventus is happy to announce that Massimiliano Allegri has agreed to a contract extension with the club through 2020.
“Today’s deal continues a professional relationship that has helped the Bianconeri become one of the main forces in European football and solidify their status as Italy’s best team.
Allegri led Juventus to its first Champions League final in twelve years in 2015. This year, the team made it back to the championship game, but Real Madrid, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, triumphed.
The new contract, which was reached after talks with CEO Beppe Marotta and club president Andrea Agnelli, would pay Allegri €7 million a season.
Strengthening the team to contend for the Champions League the next season will be Allegri’s first priority following the renewal, with a wide attacker and central midfielder near the top of the list.
