Over the course of his 18-year career, the standout quarterback guided his one and only team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, to two Super Bowl victories.
“It’s difficult for me to express the value of football or the blessing it has been,” quarterback Ben Roethlisberger remarked in a video statement that was posted to Twitter. “Although I am certain that I gave the game everything I had, I am incredibly appreciative of everything it has given.”
He spoke about his childhood as an Ohioan kid who had “NFL dreams,” adding that he was “blessed with the honor of 18 seasons as a Pittsburgh Steeler.”
“The journey has been exhilarating,” he stated, “but it is time to clean out my locker, hang up my cleats, and continue to be all I can be to my wife and children.”
He stated: “I retire from football a truly grateful man.”
The only quarterbacks with more passing yards than Roethlisberger at the end of his career are Brett Favre, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning. For the first time in almost 20 years, the Steelers’ quarterback position is under question following his retirement.

Brown played in the NFL for 12 seasons, nine of which were with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he scored 84 touchdowns and will go down in history as the team’s best wide receiver of all time.
After becoming the owner of a National Arena League team, Brown, who is 34 years old and did not participate in the 2022 season, has stated that he does not intend to join with a team this off-season and is instead looking forward to retiring.
Brown is now a co-owner of the Albany Empire, a team based in New York that his father used to play for. Brown matured in Albany and has informed TMZ Sports that he will not be playing any more, opting instead to be an active owner.
The former wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers was regarded as the league’s top player and one of the more endearing faces in the NFL a little under five years ago.
In addition to being a fantastic playerāsome even rank him among the top five wide receivers in NFL historyāBrown was also a lovable, carefree individual who quietly went about his business while dominating for eight years in a row.
The only thing lacking from his amazing resumeāwhich he would eventually attaināwas a Super Bowl ring. He was a seven-time Pro Bowler and a two-time receiving yards leader.
