Terrible information: The Sacramento Kings head coach is suspended following evidence of an affair with his key player’s wife.
NBA fans don’t usually favor basketball spouses, but Recee Fox has succeeded in Sacramento in doing so.
Point guard De’Aaron Fox’s wife frequently attends Kings games with their infant, Reign, and is active on social media, frequently engaging with Kings supporters.
After Domantas Sabonis recorded a triple-double in Monday’s 143-131 victory over the Washington Wizards at Golden 1 Center, Recee Fox showed her gratitude for her husband’s co-star.
Sabonis ended with a team-best plus-25 net rating, 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. The Boston Celtics (20-6) will take on the Kings (16-9) on Wednesday. He has three triple doubles and twenty-one double doubles.
Recee Fox wrote, “Even though Sabby does this every night, I hope we never take it for granted.” “We can still acknowledge that he is unique, even though I know the national media doesn’t get it.”
When Mike Brown, the coach of the Kings, learned about Recee Fox’s comments, he was pleased with what he heard and felt it reflected the spirit of unity the Kings have established in Sacramento.
Brown stated, “This group is connected.” Everyone aspires to success for everyone else. It’s amazing when you see and hear things like that because you don’t see or hear things like that very often in the NBA because of the money, the prestige of being this or that, the awards, and the whole nine yards. However, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to me that someone of Recee’s caliber and level could say something like that in public. It merely says volumes about her personal qualities, De’Aaron Fox’s character and beliefs regarding this squad, and our bond as a unit.
Since Tyrese Haliburton was traded to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Sabonis by Kings general manager Monte McNair, De’Aaron Fox and Sabonis have prospered together. For the first time in their individual careers, both were selected to the NBA Third Team and were picked to play in the All-Star Game the previous season.
Fox has the chance to negotiate a second long-term extension this summer. The network is now in the third year of a $163 million contract that runs for five years. Sabonis consented to a $217 million, five-year extension last summer, so this collaboration may continue for many years.
After the Wizards victory, Fox sang Sabonis’ praises with his spouse.
“Everything he does for us, even just getting rebounds and pushing them, or even getting rebounds and using them as an outlet for us,” Fox remarked. “Those who can accomplish that at his size are few in number.”
