PALMA.- The Manacor tennis player Rafael Nadal has emerged uninjured this morning from a car accident on a road in the Manacor area, after hitting an

electric post head on, which caused power failure in the area, according to information from IB3 Radio reported by Europa Press.
It happened at around 11 am when the car (a KIA model like the ones the player promotes) in which the Mallorcan tennis player was travelling alone collided into the electric post in the photo, although Nadal did not suffer any injuries of note.
A woman who owns a house nearby heard the accident and quickly came down from the beach there to find Nadal a bit dizzy. So, she took him to her house and gave him a drink of water. The tennis player recovered in a few minutes, although he was a bit dazed to begin with.
The car, which was towed away a few minutes afterwards, has been damaged by the impact which also caused electricity problems in nearby streets as the electric post finished up on the ground. People who live in the area had previously complained of the poor state of the post.
According to people that know the area, it is very easy to have an accident where Nadal did. That particular spot is a hill down which cars tend to gather speed and, in a few meters, the electric post is upon them.
