According to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, former Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham has been invited to the NBA Draft with his family in the green room.

Unselfish Playmaker and Shotmaker: Rob Dillingham Prospect Profile

At the Los Angeles Lakers practice facility this morning, Dillingham fulfilled the qualifications for the NBA Combine, which made him eligible for the invitation.

Due to an ankle injury, Dillingham was previously unable to fulfill these standards. Prior to the NBA Finals, the 6-foot-2 guard was ranked No. 9 overall on James Fletcher III’s updated Big Board and came in at No. 10 in On3’s most recent mock draft.

According to Fletcher, “Rob Dillingham is an electric scorer and likely the most NBA-ready offensive weapon in the draft class.” But he’s also one of the least equipped to handle the nightly pressure of watching over professional guards.

The 6-foot-2 guard scored 47.5% overall and 44.4% from three points range after coming off the bench for Kentucky. He appears ready to be the next Wildcat of this generation to become a professional star, whether he sticks in a 6th-man role or moves into a starting lineup.

In his lone season at Kentucky, Dillingham averaged 15.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game while shooting 47.5% from the field and 44.3% from beyond the arc. For his efforts, he was named the 2024 SEC Sixth Man of the Year and an All-SEC Second Team member. However, rumors have it that the point guard-deficient San Antonio Spurs may look to acquire a ball-handler through trade.

Dillingham thinks he can succeed in the same way wherever he ends himself next.

“If I am selected sixtyth, it makes no difference what pick I am. After declaring for the draft, Dillingham stated, “I want to go to a team that believes in me, can help me build, and I can build with them and make me better.” “All I want is for my team to succeed so they can help me grow and learn things.”

“Anyone who sets their mind to it can be exceptional. Just exude confidence. What matters is what you give your all to.
