Before we know it, the 2024 Alabama Crimson Tide football season will be here when Kalen DeBoer leads the program into a new era on August 31 from inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama has its fair share of star power with the likes of Jalen Milroe, Tyler Booker, Deontae Lawson, Jihaad Campbell, and Malachi Moore, to name a few. But even at a program like Alabama, every season a handful of players do not receive the proper attention in the preseason before bursting onto the scene and becoming a household name.
Many players on this Alabama roster could potentially fit that bill, but I believe I have narrowed it down to the five who might be being overlooked the most entering the 2024 college football season.
The Washington transfer entered a crowded tight end room in Tuscaloosa but I wouldn’t count him out.
Cuevas has more experience in the DeBoer offense than any other player at his position and is a sneaky good athlete who can make plays in the passing game.
In his limited role last season with the Huskies, Cuevas was a big play machine snagging four catches for 164 yards and one touchdown.
Better known as Q-Rob, the redshirt senior is set to be the Tide’s starter at the WOLF position in Kane Wommack’s defense.
Robinson has waited his turn behind the likes of Will Anderson and Dallas Turner and now has a chance to shine.
Robinson may not be the household names that Anderson and Turner were, but he has more than enough potential to become one before its all said and done.
