Dean Wright has left his role as Academy Manager at Ipswich Town by mutual consent after two years.
Wright joined the club in June 2022 from local rivals Norwich City, where he was the Head of Academy Coaching.
He had previously been Assistant Academy Manager for the Canaries and had also worked at Bury and Huddersfield Town’s Academies.
Writing on LinkedIn, Wright said: “I wanted to share that I recently decided to leave my role as Academy Manager at Ipswich Town after two incredible years.
“It has been great to witness first hand the progression of the club over the past two seasons, seeing back-to-back promotions and getting a behind-the-scenes view of how the first team have operated and achieved success.
“My main source of pride and enjoyment has been leading a group of like-minded, good people and helping support their success.
It has been a pleasure to see them grow.
They have made me better each day and I am sure they will continue to do great things.
“My passion for youth development and helping people is greater than ever and I am now open to new opportunities where my skills and experiences may be able to help.”
In a statement on their website, Ipswich thanked Wright for playing “a leading role in the development of the club’s Academy during his two years in Suffolk,” adding “Dean will always be welcome at Portman Road, with the club thanking him for his hard work and commitment during his time at Town and wishing him well for the future.” are
