Following the Fever’s 88-81 win over the struggling Washington Mystics, their third home win in a row, Clark was bombarded with a question not about the win, but her off-target passes. 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year Aliyah Boston stepped in for the assist for the 2024 front runner for the same award.
“Just trying to slow down a little bit,” Clark said about remedying her turnovers. “Honestly I’m trying to remember the other ones.”
“Don’t worry,” Boston interrupted, taking the pressure off her point guard.
“You look at Caitlin and the way she passes the ball and sometimes things are gonna happen that way. We’re not gonna let her hang her head, we’re not gonna hang our head off of any missed passes,” she continued, shutting down the reporter’s cynical question.
