Lindsey Vonn Pays Emotional Tribute to Late Mother on Her 73rd Birthday and…

Lindsey Vonn, the legendary American alpine skier, took to social media yesterday to reflect on her remarkable achievements over the weekend, which coincided with what would have been her mother’s 73rd birthday.

Vonn, who has been open about her close relationship with her mother, Linda Krohn, shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, accompanied by a series of photos showcasing her impressive skiing career.

“This weekend was one for the books,” Vonn began. “I’m still in awe of what I achieved on the slopes, but what makes it even more special is that it fell on a day that would have been my mom’s 73rd birthday.”

Vonn’s mother passed away in 2018 after a long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The skier has often spoken about the profound impact her mother had on her life and career.

“My mom was my rock, my inspiration, and my guiding light,” Vonn continued. “She taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and determination. Without her, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

Vonn’s post went on to highlight her remarkable achievements over the weekend, which included winning multiple World Cup titles and setting new records in the skiing world.

“While I’m proud of what I accomplished this weekend, I know that my mom would have been even more proud,” Vonn wrote. “She always believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. I wish she was here to celebrate with me, but I know she’s watching over me from above.”

The post was met with an outpouring of support and admiration from fans, fellow athletes, and Vonn’s friends and family.

“Lindsey, your mom would be beaming with pride,” wrote Olympic gold medalist, Julia Mancuso. “You’re an inspiration to us all, and your dedication to your craft is a testament to your mom’s influence.”

“Lindsey, I’m so proud of you,” added Vonn’s father, Alan Kildow. “Your mom would be proud too. You’re an amazing skier and an even more amazing person.”

As Vonn continues to dominate the skiing world, she does so with the memory of her mother forever etched in her heart.

“I’ll keep pushing myself to be the best version of myself, just like my mom taught me,” Vonn concluded. “I love you, Mom. Happy birthday.”
