When playing for Spain, a Real Madrid star is injured in a collision with a former Barcelona player.
The great majority of national teams are participating in important competitive matches during the last international break of 2023.
Many clubs have players away as a result, and Real Madrid is surely among them.
Eduardo Camavinga, a Los Blancos star, is away with his national team and is hoping to play for France in their final two Euro 2024 qualifiers against Greece and Gibraltar.
His availability for those games, though, might be in question following a near-accident during Wednesday’s practice.
According to Loic Tanzi, Camavinga hurt his knee in a collision with former Barcelona player Ousmane Dembele.
According to Canal+, he was forced to leave the session, and in order to ascertain the extent of the problem, medical testing will be carried out.
The last thing Real Madrid needs is for Camavinga to be sidelined, especially since Aurelien Tchouameni will already be out for several weeks due to a foot injury.
They’ll be praying it’s not a major problem.
