This will be the third and final meeting between the Ducks and Jets this season. In the first game on December 10 in Anaheim the Jets won 4-2, scoring four unanswered goals after the Ducks jumped out to an early 2-0 first period lead. The teams met again on January 5, again in California. Once again the Ducks scored first, leading 1-0 through one period, but the Jets then scored the next three goals including two in the third period to go on to win 3-1.

Last time out on Wednesday, the Jets fell 4-2 to the Nashville Predators. That was the middle game of a three-game homestand, which started with a 3-0 shutout of the Washington Capitals on Monday.
For the Ducks, this is the third game of a four-game road trip and the second half of a back-to-back. On Thursday night the Ducks were Minnesota, where they lost 2-0 to the Wild.
