May 13, Rio de Janerio: According to media sources, Robinho has rescinded his contract with AC Milan and is free to talk with interested bidders.
The 31-year-old was bound to the Italian team until the middle of 2016, but according to the daily O Globo, he consented to forego any unpaid sums owed to the Rossoneri in exchange for having his contract terminated.
Less than two months remain on Robinho’s one-year loan with Santos, where he helped the team win the Xinhua announced earlier this month that Sao Paulo state title.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester City winger, who has also been linked to a move to US Major League Soccer, is reportedly aiming to join with Santos and Flamengo.
Robinho’s stellar 2015 performance earned him a spot in Brazil’s roster for the Copa America, which takes place in Chile from June 11 to July 4.
