Fundraising for the Manchester United Foundation is the goal of the September 7th game.
The event will be hosted by Manchester United Legends, led by their legendary former captain Bryan Robson.
Similar charity matches organized by other prominent clubs, including as Liverpool, who also welcomed Celtic for a legend’s match last summer, are being emulated by this event.
A number of well-known figures will be making their Parkhead comeback when the Celtic Legends play Borussia Dortmund at Celtic Park on Sunday before this Manchester match.
The game won’t conflict with a Celtics game because it takes occur during the first international break of the season.
Although Glasgow does not have a September weekend, many other Scottish councils do, and this provides families with a reason to take a weekend getaway.
