After Aleksandar Pavlovic’s regrettable illness-related absence from Euro 2024, Bayern Munich has extended the midfielder’s contract until 2029.
The club made this announcement on Sunday. Tonsillitis led Pavlovic, who was originally a member of Germany’s Euro 2024 squad, to withdraw prior to their most recent encounter against Scotland. Emre Can was named to replace Pavlovic in the squad.
Max Eberl, sporting director of Bayern, praised Pavlovic’s commitment and development, calling him an example of a man who has sacrificed much to succeed. Even if Pavlovic’s illness ended his Euro dream, the club’s decision to extend his contract with Bayern shows that they value his skills and believe he can help them succeed in the future.
