Villa ready to lose their key player to Arsenal in January transfer
As Mikel Arteta wants to add further acquisitions after a £210 million summer shopping binge, Arsenal is aiming to sign a new central midfield player during the January transfer window.
Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa is reportedly viewed by Arsenal as the “ideal midfielder” as they try to boost Mikel Arteta’s team during the January transfer window.
Juventus is one of the teams interested in signing the 30-year-old Thomas Partey, so his future at the Emirates Stadium is still up in the air.
Due to his struggles with injuries thus far this season, the Ghanaian international Partey has fallen down Arteta’s priority list since Declan Rice arrived in the summer.
Partey had surgery last week for a thigh injury that is anticipated to keep him out for the rest of 2023. Since August, he has only played 15 minutes.
After that, it’s likely that the 30-year-old will travel to Africa to play in the African Cup of Nations.
Arsenal is supposedly considering Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz as their “ideal midfielder” in an attempt to bolster Mikel Arteta’s squad in the January transfer window.
Thomas Partey, thirty, is still up for grabs at the Emirates Stadium; Juventus is among the teams interested in signing him.
Since Declan Rice came in the summer, Ghanaian international Partey has become less of Arteta’s top concern due to his injury issues thus far this season.

According to reports, the Gunners are also considering Douglas Luiz, a midfielder for Aston Villa, before January.
After Villa rejected his two bids, the Brazilian was linked to a move to the Emirates Stadium last year. However, Luiz decided to stay with the team and negotiated a new, long-term contract.
According to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano, the Villa star has been on Arsenal’s transfer wish list for almost two years and is considered a “top target” for the team.
Given Partey’s problems, Arsenal is eager to add a new midfield player in the new year. Luiz is believed to be considered the “perfect midfielder,” and Arteta places him “top of the list” due to his “many different factors.”
