Major Erling Haaland injury report provided by Man City ahead of Liverpool match amid double boost
A problem with Erling Haaland’s ankle occurred during the international break.
Erling Haaland was observed at Manchester City’s training before Liverpool’s Saturday (12.30 GMT) trip to the Etihad Stadium.
During the international break, the striker was serving for Norway when he sustained an ankle injury.
Due to a serious injury he was suffering, he was unable to play in his nation’s 3-3 tie with Scotland on Sunday.
Haaland, who has scored 17 goals this season across all competitions, looked like a possible doubt for the Premier League matchup against Liverpool at the top of the table.
Nevertheless, the former striker for Borussia Dortmund was seen at the City Football Academy, as the team shared images from their Thursday night practice on social media.
Nathan Ake was left out of the Netherlands’ starting lineup and did not play in the exciting 4–4 draw against Chelsea. Before Liverpool’s visit, the defender was once again sighted in training.
Brazil’s Ederson, Croatia’s Mateo Kovacic, and Portugal’s Matheus Nunez all left their respective national teams. When Pep Guardiola speaks to the media today, he will go over all of the injuries.
Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Ibrahima Konate, and Joe Gomez—the Liverpool quarterbacks—all exercised yesterday at the AXA Training Center. They were not present for Brentford’s 3-0 victory prior to the season break.
