After 49ers trade for Deebo Samuel, Trent Williams receives an update on his injury
After an impressive start to the 2023 NFL season, the San Francisco 49ers are suddenly in disarray.
The 49ers started the season with a perfect 5-0 record, but they have since dropped two straight games—to the Cleveland Browns and the Minnesota Vikings, respectively—to drop to 5-2.
In addition, they are currently dealing with injuries to several of their star players, including offensive lineman Trent Williams.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Williams is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to an ankle injury.

In the meantime, quarterback Brock Purdy is reportedly experiencing concussion-like symptoms following the Vikings game, and is currently dealing with some injuries.
The 49ers have been severely impacted by injuries over the past few weeks.
The 49ers will also be without their best wide receiver, Deebo Samuel, for the game against the Bengals.
Samuel has been dealing with a shoulder injury lately, and his absence was a major factor in why San Francisco found itself down two games in a row.
