In the victory versus Denver, rookies Sam Laporta and Jahmyr Gibbs combined to score five touchdowns in all. The Lions would make the playoffs for the first time since 2017 if the Eagles prevail.
In the 2017 playoffs, Detroit was defeated by Seattle in the wild-card round. Last season, Detroit needed a loss from the Seahawks in order to get to the postseason. Once more, Seattle must lose in order for the Lions to guarantee their spot in the postseason.
