The Auburn Tigers (13-6, 2-4 SEC) ended its nine-game losing streak against the Alabama Crimson Tide (15-6, 2-4 SEC), picking up a 78-65 victory.
Auburn got off to a fast start out of the gate and remained in control throughout the first half. Alabama dominated the third quarter, however, outscoring Auburn 21-10.

Auburn shot the lights out
Auburn shot 27-57 or 47.4% from the floor, 3-8 or 37.5% from 3-point range and 21-29 or 72.4% from the free-throw line.
Auburn was particularly successful in the paint, scoring 36 of its points in that area.
Auburn is continuing to improve offensively as conference play goes along.
Jessica Timmons dominated, but Auburn contained everyone else
Jessica Timmons led Alabama in scoring with 26 points.
The only other Alabama player to reach double-figures was Sarah Ashlee Baker who scored 10 points.
Auburn consolidated Alabama’s offensive threat which allowed it to play the game at its tempo on both ends of the floor.
Honesty Scott-Grayson dominated
Auburn’s veteran guard led the team in scoring with 19 points.
