Heartbreaking: I would have stayed but this Issue is Getting Worst I can’t “Caitlin Clark” Says As she…

Well stated. I’m a bit older black man, and her shooting also is what grabbed my attention, but then her passing and swagger are what hooked me the most. Color personally has zero to do with my respect for her

This entire topic is important to many, but mostly irrelevant to me. Angel Reese has a higher relative percentage of black fans, so are we to say she’s partially popular because she’s black? Maybe she is? So what?

Yes, we live in an imperfect world, and of course there will be some racists and homophobes who support CC more because she’s straight and white. If she were gay, some bigots would drop her, and maybe even more LGTBQ fans would like her more?

LeBron, MJ, Tiger, Curry, etc all got massive support of every kind because they are/were incredible. Top players of every color get support, and the ones with X factor flair get even more.

All I know is that I just watched that young woman play all of her 136 games so far, over half in person. She commands attention and receives adulation like I’ve never seen, for 100 reasons other than her skin pigment or who she loves.

Some of her 45 records may not be broken for decades, yet improving the women’s game is what she most wants to be remembered for. She’s just different. Can’t we all just enjoy her?

She didn’t choose her skin color. She was born who she is, and just wants to ball and make people happy.

This convo might have occurred with pro soccer fans if she’d have chosen that route, and CC would be their “problem”. Yes she was that good at that other round ball.
She only got to play 6 games as a HS freshman because she was on U16 Team USA BB. She scored 26 goals in those 6 games, as a freshman playing varsity at a large 4A school.

Talking about racism is often needed, but sometimes racism mostly exists because we make it so. Peace.
